Willie Oree Singleton Jr., affectionately known as "Boogaloo," was born on September 1, 1969 in Sumter, SC to Willie and Jeanette Evans Singleton. Willie died on March 22, 2019, at his residence in Sumter, South Carolina.
Boogaloo graduated from Sumter High School in 1986. He enlisted into the United States Marine Corps right after graduation.
He is survived by his loving parents, Willie and Jeanette Singleton of the home; wife, Sandra Singleton; six children: Shaquida, Breanna, Shayla, Ciera, and Jordan Singleton, all of Sumter, SC and Tre'Vonte Singleton of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Kendall and Warren Singleton both of Sumter, SC; one sister, Tiffany Singleton (Tramayne) Pugh of Sumter, SC; one granddaughter, Honesty Kennedy of Sumter, SC; Special Friend and Caregiver, Cynthia Perry of Charlotte, NC; six aunts; four uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Singleton; parternal grandparents, Hazel and Bertha Singleton; marternal grandparents, John and Elizabeth Evans; and two uncles, Hazel Singleton, Jr. and Jonnie Lee Evans.
Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.
Mr. Singleton will be placed in the church on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 12noon for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center 101 S. Salem Avenue Sumter, SC 29150, with Apostle Frankie Perry, Eulogist and Rev. Cynthia Myers Officiating,
Interment will follow in Walker Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the home, 115 K Street Sumter, SC 29150.
Job's Mortuary, Inc., 312 S. Main Street is in charge of arrangements.
