Veronica Williams

In loving memory of Veronica “Ronnie” Williams, who passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026 at Sumter East Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Sumter, SC in her 83rdyear. Veronica is survived and missed by sons Patrick (Terri) Edwards and Roger Williams; grandchildren Mikayla Forsey-Edwards, Richard Edwards and Elijah Edwards; brother Vernel (Yupin) Williams and sister-in-law Ruth Williams; niece and nephews, Johnnie (Yvonne) Hudgins, Kelly (Terry) Johnson, and Terrance (Lashaun) Williams; and many cousins and extended family. She is predeceased by her parents Prince and Lela Williams, brother Donald Williams, sister Janet Hudgins, son Richard Edwards, and niece Francine Hudgins. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Growing up and raising her children in the Bronx, NY, she eventually moved to be close to family in Wedgefield, SC. Veronica had many jobs during her career but truly enjoyed her time as a beautician. She loved gardening, cooking, chatting with family and friends, and watching the world from her front porch. Veronica was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage, a deep faith in God, and dignity.

A memorial service will be held at Job’s Mortuary, 312 S Main Street, Sumter, SC on Saturday, June 27th at 11:00 a.m.

A private burial will follow.

Momma, you will always be in our hearts, and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
