A Time to be Born …
Mr. Tyson "Coon" Mack, the youngest son of Mr. Arnold Mack and the late Mrs. Delores Anderson, was born on December 19, 1972 in Cleveland, Ohio.
A Time to Grow…
He received his primary education in the public schools in Sumter County and was a 1992 graduate of Sumter High School, where he was a football standout. Tyson worked many years for North Carolina Central University.
A Time to Love…
Tyson was united in Holy Matrimony to his long time love, Nakia McCleary-Mack; this union was blessed with one daughter, JaCarri Tykia Mack of Durham, NC.
A Time to Worship…
He was introduced to Jesus Christ at a young age at Church of God in Christ in Sumter. Tyson was a well-loved member of Faith Community Church in Durham, NC.
A Time to Die…
After a well fought battle, he took his rest on October 3, 2018 at Transitions Hospice Care in Raleigh, NC.
A Time to Mourn…
His ever-present smile, fun-loving personality, and his uncanny ability to encourage the least of us made him so well loved by many, His influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him.
Mr. Mack leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Mrs. Nakia McCleary-Mack, and his only daughter, JaCarri Tykia Mack of Durham, NC; his father, Arnold (Deloriese) Mack of Sumter; his sister, Calandra (Sidney) Carter of Sumter; his step-sisters, Shelia Branch and Denise Finnery, and step-bother, David Baker all of Philadelphia, PA; mother-in-law, who loved him like a son, Valarie McCleary of Sumter, SC; five nieces: Annika Davis, Alexis Carter, both of Sumter, Keniya McCleary of Durham, NC, Mariah and Miracle DeJean both of Atlanta, GA; four grandnieces; two grandnephews; four aunts: Laura (Dewey) Turner, Pamela (Everett) Burk of Philadelphia, PA, Jackie (Jack) Wilson, and Barbara Walker of Sumter; two uncles, Dewitt (Hazel) Clark and Johnnie Mack of Sumter; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Mack was preceded in death by his step-father, Albertus Anderson and his brother, Arnold "Uncle" Mack III.
