Thomas James Washington, "Truck" a son of Lula Conyers Washington and the late Deacon Junior Washington, was born on April 4, 1954, in Sumter County. He was united in marriage to Jeronia Pringle Washington.

On Tuesday morning July 12, 2016, Thomas heard the voice of the Lord calling for him to come home. He closed his eyes and went to sleep.

Thomas was a member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church of Sumter. He graduated from Sumter High School in 1972.

He leaves to cherish his loving and fond memories; a loving and devoted mother, Lula Conyers Washington; loving wife Jeronia Pringle Washington; two brothers, Arthur (Linda) Washington of Sumter, SC; and Albert Washington of Sumter, SC; one daughter, Satonya Gibbs of Sumter, SC; two sons, Kedric (La' Shriee) Parsons of Albemarle, NC and to this union three children , Terrence (Lisa)Delay of El Paso, Texas to this union four children; five stepchildren, Rashida Caesar, Jackie Pringle, Jeronia Evans, Frank Evans III, and Michael Evans of Sumter, SC; seven aunts, two uncles; devoted nieces and nephews that was adopted into the family Barry and Delores Anderson of Columbia, SC ; Joseph and Bertha Dinkins of Sumter, SC ; and a host of grandchildren nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Deacon Junior Albert Washington and two uncles Isaac Washington and Cole "C.W." Washington Jr. , grandmother Hessie Conyers.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday July 15, 2016 from 2-7pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mr. Washington will be placed in the church on Saturday 10:30am until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday July 16, 2016 11:30am at Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Dr. Nate Brock, Officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

Family will be receiving friends at 232 West Williams Street, Sumter and 516 Magnolia Street, Sumter.
