Mrs. Susie Mae Witherspoon, 88, widow of Ronnie Witherspoon, Sr., was born on April 4, 1930 in Pinewood, SC to the late Mike Leon Watson and Mozell Watson. She passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in Sumter, SC.

Mrs. Witherspoon was a faithful and dedicated member of Kingsbury Church of Christ in Sumter, SC. She was educated at Manchester High School, where she graduated as class Salutatorian. Mrs. Witherspoon was also a great basketball player, homemaker and an awesome babysitter for all her grands.

Susie Mae leaves to cherish her memories: nine children: Tracy Oliver, Ronnie (Deborah Ann) Witherspoon, Lewis Witherspoon, Deborah Jean Hardy, Dianne (Elijah) Burgess, Gerome Witherspoon, Johnny (Nicholette) Witherspoon, Kenneth (Betty) Witherspoon, and Veronica (Kevin) Mack; twenty grandchildren; fifty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Martha (Art) Nails, Emma Witherspoon, Gladys Witherspoon, and Bernice Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a multitude of friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Ada Ismon, Dorothy Levy, Charles Watson, Leon Watson, Alvin Watson, Robert Watson, and Julius Watson.

Public Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mrs. Witherspoon will be placed in the church on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10am for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Kingsbury Church of Christ 215 Kingsbury Drive Sumter, SC 29150, with Evangelist Melvin Sapp Officiating.

Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
