Stephen Benbow, 50, son of Annie Benbow Garrett, was born on December 24, 1969 in Sumter, SC. He was reared in the home of his maternal grandparents the late Aaron, Sr. and Rosa Mae Benbow. He departed this life on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, SC.

Stephen was a graduate of Mayewood High School, Class of 1989. He then went on to receive his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and from there pursed his own business in Decatur, GA until his health declined. Stephen joined Ebenezer AME Church at an early age. He was a member of the Prince Hall Lodge.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother, Annie Benbow Garrett of Columbia, SC; a daughter, Natasha Brianna Benbow; four grandchildren: Brooklin, Skylar, Naomi, and Karter all of Decatur, GA; two sisters, Valerie Burke and Tequila (Patrick) McFadden both of Columbia, SC; a faithful and dedicated aunt and caregiver, Virginia Benbow Henry of Mayesville, SC; two special cousins, Miracle Henry and Tonika Benbow; seven aunts; seven uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Graveside Services will be held at 12pm on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Mayesville Community Cemetery in Mayesville, SC.

Family will receive friends at the home, 6 Congress Street, Mayesville, SC 29104.

Job's Mortuary, Inc., 312 S. Main Street is in charge of arrangements.
