Obituary

Simone Alyse Glover, affectionately known as "Monie," passed away peacefully at the home surrounded by family on December 31, 2017. She was born on June 25, 2004 in Richland County, South Carolina. She was the only daughter of three children born to Timothy Lee and Karen Lang Glover.
Simone was a member of the Lighthouse of Prayer Temple Church and former student of Sumter School District. Simone was a loving "little angel" with a sweet and quiet spirit. Her radiant smile was a reflection of her warm and gentle mannerism. During the annual class picnic, Simone's winning smile earned her many certificate of awards such as: The Kool-Aid Smile Award, Ray of Sunshine Award and the Sweetie Pie Award among many others. She enjoyed being around her family, friends, and other children. She loved listening to children and gospel music.
Simone was a fighter and fought until the end. She possessed strength and perseverance unlike no other. Simone had a unique gift of giving joy to others with her beautiful smile even on her sickest days. She led us to believe that each day is a blessing. Her passing reminds us that her life is one to be celebrated. She will forever remain in our hearts and minds.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Her parents, Timothy Lee and Karen Lang Glover, two brothers: Victor and Joshua Glover all of the home, Maternal Grandparents: Freddie and Margaret Lang of Wedgefield, SC; Four Aunts: Cassandra Lang of Wedgefield, SC, Andrea Branch of Sumter, SC, Yvonne Glover (Eddie Dawson) of Columbia, SC, and Christabell (Jonathan) Dunbar of Swansea, SC; Seven Uncles: Kevin (Latoya) Lang of Columbia, MD, Anthony Branch of Wedgefield, SC, Bonnie (Veola) Glover, Sr. of North, SC, Robert (Caroline) Glover, Jr. of Goldsboro, NC, Olden (Kim) Glover of Suffolk, VA, Ricky (Brenda) Glover of Swansea, SC, and Alton Hallman of Columbia, SC; and a host of great uncles, great aunts, cousins, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert L. Glover, Sr. and Ethel Colter Glover.
A Special thanks to Hands of Hope Pediatric Hospice, Pediatria Healthcare LLC-Robin Wright, RN and a special caregiver and friend, Vanessa Taylor who showed never-ending affection and support.
