Shirley Ann Green Tomlin was born on May 12, 1953 to the late Moses Green, Sr. and Deaconess Janie Mae Harvin Green in Harlem, New York.  She departed this earthly life on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina surrounded by her husband, children, siblings, and other family members.

Shirley leaves to cherish wonderful and precious memories: her husband, Eugene; children: Shenika Tomlin (Kingsley) Waring of Lexington, SC and Ryan Tomlin of the home; granddaughters: Niara and Janiya Waring of Lexington, SC; siblings: Bertha G. (the late Tracey) Jeter, Ronnie (Carla) Green, and the Reverend Carolyn G. (Rev. Dr. Ashley B.) Vaughn all of Sumter, SC.; aunts: Annette Smith, Helen (Freddie) Howard, and Louise Cook of Florence, SC, Hattie (Bishop Henry) Profit of Timmonsville, SC,  Bertha Peoples and Janie Mae Morris of St. Petersburg, FL, Edith Mae Connor of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Mary Lou Brinkley of Killeen, Texas; uncles: Jack Cook of Florence, SC and Sammie Cook of Sanford FL; sisters-in-law: Sarah China, Mary Kennedy, and Deborah Ann McFadden all of Sumter, SC and Ruby Tomlin of Augusta , Ga; brothers-in-law: Herbert Tomlin of Columbia, SC and Albertus (Betty) Tomlin of Sumter, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Moses Green, Jr.

Public viewing will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 2- 5:30 p.m at Job's Mortuary, Inc.

Omega Omega Services with the Delta Sigma Theta Alumni Chapter will be held at 6-7p.m at Job's Mortuary, Inc.

Mrs. Tomlin will be placed in the church on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 3pm for viewing until the hour of service.

Celebration of Life services will be held at Beulah AME Church, located at 3175 Florence Highway, at 4 p. m. on Friday, September 7, 2018.

Interment will follow in Beulah AME Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the home, 1210 Fallingwater Lane Sumter, SC from 1-7pm Daily.
