God saw that the roads were getting tough and the hills were hard to climb, so the Lord whispered "It's time to take your rest.;" and called Sherry D. Maple home on February 26, 2018 at Palmetto Health Tuomey in Sumter, SC.

Sherry was born on October 25, 1955 in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of the late Eula D. Walker and Leon Madison. Sherry attended and graduated from Martin Luther King, Jr. High School in 1973.

Sherry was joined in holy matrimony to Robert Maple. At an early age she accepted the Lord as her personal Savior. Years later, she became a faithful member of Bethesda Church of God of Sumter, SC.

Sherry's faith in God remained consistent and strong even while dealing with life's trials and tribulations.

Sherry leaves to cherish her precious memories to: her husband, Robert Maple; two loving daughters, Katrina L. Dawson of Chicago, IL and Zuri I. Jackson of Sumter, SC; one son, Michael J. Dawson of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Diane Mitchell of Cape May, New Jersey and Sharon Wallers of Chicago, IL; four brothers: Cedric Walker of Chicago, IL, Greg Walker of PA, Ricky Walker and Steven Walker; a special niece, Shuron Wallers of Chicago, IL; six grandchildren: Zhane (Tink), Lauren, Ericka, Jurne, Jules and Adonnis, and a host of extended relatives, in-laws, and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10am at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 South Salem Avenue, Sumter, SC, with Pastor Sims and Pastor Wesley Maple Officiating.
