Sharon McDuffie Wilson, the daughter of the late Willie Wright and Viola McDuffie was born on December 25, 1954 in Manhattan, N.Y. She departed this life on Sunday September 11, 2016 at NMC Healthcare, Annapolis, MD.
She was educated in the public school system of Sumter County. In the early seventies she returned to New York and was employed with the New York City Department of Social Services as a Social Worker for eight years. In 1972 she confessed faith in Jesus Christ and united with First Glorious Church under the leadership of the late Pastor A.B. Duncan. In 1975 she was licensed to the gospel ministry. In 1982 she transferred her membership to Green Pastures Baptist Church in Bronx, NY.
On March 19, 1983 she was united in marriage to Thomas Edward Wilson Sr. To this union they were blessed with two children, a daughter, Brittney Elizabeth Wilson and a son Thomas Edward Wilson Jr. In 1983 she was commissioned as an Evangelist and was ordained as an Elder in 2005.
She leaves to celebrate her life, her children; six grandchildren; three brothers, Clinton McDuffie, Gregory McDuffie, and Kevin McDuffie; three sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews, an extended family of children she claimed as her own; and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Wilson will be placed in the church on Saturday at 11am for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral Services will be held on Sat. Oct.1 at 12noon at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center 101 South Salem Ave. Sumter with Pastor Channie Canteen, Officiating
Interment will follow in Mayesville Community Cemtery, Mayesville, SC
