Mr. Sammie Lee Choice, Jr., the son of the late Sammie Lee Choice, Sr. and Shirley Mack Choice, was born August 6, 1979 in Sumter, SC. He transitioned into eternal live with the Lord on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Palmetto Health Tuomey in Sumter, SC.

Sammie accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Wayman Chapel AME Church. He sung on the Master and Angelic Children Choir. He was currently attending Christ Community Church in Sumter, SC. Sammie graduated from Lakewood High School in 1997. He was an avid football player. He received a full scholarship to play at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business.

Sammie was united in marriage to Mrs. Katina Ellis on June 7, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Sumter, SC. To his union, they had two boys, Tae Lee and Kam Lee. He really and truly loved and cared for his sons.

Sammie leaves to cherish his precious memories: a loving wife, Kristina Ellis; two sons, Tae Lee Choice and Kam Lee Choice; one sister, Alisha (Joseph) Johnson of Sumter, SC; two nieces, Madison and Skylar; a grandmother, Queen C. Mack of Wedgefield, SC; a special aunt, Margaret E. Mack, who reared Sammie and Alisha in her home after the loss of both parents; three additional aunts: Betty (Patterson) Mellette of Wedgefield, SC, Roberta June and Louada (Herbert) Nelson both of Sumter, SC; three uncles: Derek A. Mack of Wedgefield, SC, Herbert and Robert Choice of Sumter, SC; five grandaunts: Clara Ford, Minnie Ford and Inez G. Croom all of Sumter, SC, Geneva C. Montgomery of Union, NJ, and Mary C. Croom of Harrisburg, PA; three granduncles: Edward (Louise) Choice of Sumter, SC, Daniel (Nancy) Choice and Joe Louis Mack both of Washington, D.C., a special cousin who was like a brother, James O. Mack; a host of cousins: April, Renata, Lynell, Adrian, Tihanta, Chris, Jonathan, Santana, Rodrick, and Donnie; father and mother-in-law, Jim (Linda) Ellis of Ocala, FL; one brother-in-law, Darin Ellis of Lakeland, FL; two godmothers: Teresa Bracey and Catherine Choice both in Sumter, SC; a special family friend, Johnny Spann; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Mack, Sr. and his paternal grandparents, Sampson and Lillian Choice.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mr. Choice will be placed in the school on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1pm for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Lakewood High School 350 Old Manning Road Sumter, SC 29150, with Pastor Mark Yoder Officiating.

Interment will follow in Wayman Chapel AME Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at 270 Apollo Street Wedgefield, SC 29168.
