Sam Tindal was born on March 28, 1954 in Sumter, SC to the late Grover and Willie Mae Tindal. The Lord called him home on October 2, 2018.

He received his education from Portchester High School in New York. He furthered his education and received a diploma in Marine & Diesel Mechanics, Air condition and Welding. Sam served in the Marines as a Lance Corporal. Sam was married to Ernestine Tindal from 1995-2008, Millsboro, DE.

He leaves to cherish his fiancé, Beatrice Gadson of Sumter, SC; his lovely daughters, Michell (Kahan) Qatazap of Wilmington, NC, Toya (Michael) Wright of Sumter, SC, Krystina (Maya) Tindal of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Domonique (Ryan) Tindal of Long Neck, Delaware, Sheneal Gadson, Wendy (Mitch) Mellerson of Sumter, SC, Chaveilla McDonald of Sumter; his strong sons: Terrell Williams, Isaac Williams both of Millsboro, DE, Shamel Sidbury of Cocoa Beach, FL,  Dr. Lefunzo Wright of Columbia, SC Rakeem McDonald and Joseph McDonald of Sumter, SC, and Darnell of Charleston, SC; his siblings: Regina (Shawn) Mandoza of NY, Bertha Tindal of VA, John (Janet) Tindal of NY, and Mike (Tempel) Tindal of IN; twenty grandchildren,  one great grand, nieces and nephews who were raise as his siblings, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by two sisters, Deloris and Gloria Tindal; and a brother, Jimmy Tindal.
