Ruth Ann Chaney, one of eleven children, was born to the late Malachi "Bossy" and Laura Quarles Richardson on September 11, 1934 in Rimini, SC. She went to be with Lord on June 4, 2020 at Magnolia Manor in Inman, SC, surrounded by family and friends.

Ruth moved to New York City around 1955 and worked in the Garment District. She lived in Manhattan with her late husband, Roosevelt Chaney, and their children. After the death of her husband in 1990, she relocated back home to Rimini, SC and built a house.

Ruth Ann Chaney is survived by her four children: Henry Richardson of South Carolina, Eddie Lee Richardson, Beverly Chaney, Mia Chaney all of New York City; two sisters, Josephine and Maude; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Public Viewing will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Graveside Services will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Greater St. Phillip RMUE Church, 4574 Old River Road, Pinewood, SC 29125.

Job's Mortuary, Inc., 312 S. Main Street is in charge of arrangements.
