Robert Gregg was born October 17, 1946 to the late George and Mary Johnson Gregg of Mayesville, SC. He was called to rest on December 20, 2017.

In his earlier years, Robert attended Beulah AME Church in Mayesville, SC. He studied at Clark School in Oswego, SC. When he was 15 years old, he left for New York City. While there he worked at Jonas Mattress Factory for a number of years and Cascade Laundry.

Robert was the life of the party! Everything was a joke and mainly the joke was on you. He loved to laugh and he never met a stranger - if he met you he knew you for life and you would never forget him. His words were, "Hey Niece, Hey Nephew!"

He is survived by his long time companion, Carol Tucker; two sons, Robert Lee Gregg , Donald Gregg, and one daughter, Earlisha Gregg of New York City; three step daughters, Pamela Tucker, Teeshona Tucker, and Sade Tucker all of Georgia;; two sisters, Pastor Mary Watkins of New York City and Maybelle (Robert) Loney; one sister-in-law, Sara Gregg of Sumter, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public Viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mr. Gregg will be placed in the church on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11am for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 12 Noon at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, SC 29150, Evangelist Mary G. Fullard, Officiating.

Interment will follow in Bradford Cemetery.

Family will be receiving friends at 123 Newberry Ave., Sumter, SC 29150.
