Robert Lee Greene, 68, departed this life on Monday, April 2, 2018. Born July 19, 1949, Robert Lee was the son of the late Jim and Albertha Singleton Greene.

Robert received his formal education in the public schools of Sumter County. Robert believed in giving his best as an employee and had excellent work ethics. He was employed for thirty years with Russel Logging.

Robert had a unique personality and a keen sense of humor. There was always laughter whenever you were in his presence .

Survivors include five brothers: Carlisle Greene, Jimmy Greene, Earl (Elouise) Greene, Lawrence Greene, and John Edward (Carolyn) Greene all of Sumter, SC; four sisters: Gladys (Lindsey) Woodson of Baltimore, MD, Bettye (Albertus) Tomlin, Roberta Greene, and Linda Greene all of Sumter, SC; seven nephews; fifteen nieces, fifty-eight great nieces and nephews, and fifteen great-great nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, a nephew, and several aunts and uncles.

Public Viewing will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mr. Greene will be placed in the church on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 1pm for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Avenue Sumter, SC, with Rev. Randolph Green Officiating.

Interment will follow in The Billie-Simon Cemetery.
