Reginald Brunson,61, of Hobart, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Bassett Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on April 6, 1960 in Sumter, SC, Reginald was the son of the Daniel and Evelena Brunson.
Growing up Sumter, Reginald performed in plays in high school, participated in sports including basketball and football and was a graduate of Sumter High School.
Reginald went on to Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Where he became part of the local chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi. Graduated with a degree in accounting and a degree in Theater. Then over the next 38 years he performed in countless theater productions many local in Oneonta and Cooperstown, several up and down the east coast. Reginald was also a teachers aid at South Kortright Central School where he became involved in local elementary and high school sports. Reginald was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Yankees, and Philadelphia 76ers fan.
He is survived by his mother: Evelena H. Brunson; wife: Cynthia "Cindy" L. Hillis-Brunson of Hobart; children: Allan (Amy), Amber (Jessie), Adam (Kayla), Amanda (Brian), Arie, and Azalyn all of Hobart; grandchildren: Dezaraye, Bryson, Javier, Bentley, Lily, Emma, Sadie, Joey, Katie, and Hailey; brothers: Daniel (Dorothy) Brunson Jr., Nichols, NY and Wayne (Pamela) Brunson, Newark, NJ; sisters: Pamela (Phil) McCollough, Sumter, SC and Monica (Jerome) Woodberry, Hamden, CT; in-laws: Mary Davis nine aunts; six uncles; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 19, 2022 at Salem Chapel And Heritage Center on 101 South Salem Avenue
