Mrs. Rebecca Rose Tasker was born January 12, 1927 to the late Willie Sumpter Rose and Annie Moore Rose in Sumter, South Carolina. She departed this life on June 27, 2019 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

She was educated in the public schools of Sumter, SC and attended Bradford School. At an early age she went to Ohio and worked as a nurse at Mansfield Ohio Health Hospital and she was a chef at Soldiers Home in Washington, DC.

Rebecca is survived by one son, Leroy (Maggie) Rose Sr.; one sister, Helen Summers; six grandchildren, Stanley (Allison) Green, Catherine Boyd, Leroy (Irene) Rose Jr., David Rose, Michael Rose and Thad Rose; six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a host of very close friends in Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Willie H. Rose and a sister, Annie Mae Rose.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mrs. Tasker will be placed in the church on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 10am for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center 101 South Salem Avenue Sumter, SC 29150, with Pastor Linda Speed Presiding and Pastor James Summers, Eulogist.

Interment will follow in Bradford Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the home, 101 North Wise Drive Apt#103 Sumter, SC 29150.
