Mrs. Rebecca Dinkins Holland, widow of William Holland, Sr. and daughter of the late Hazel Dinkins and Clarreather Singleton Dinkins Curtis was born on March 18, 1930. She departed this life on April 10, 2017.

Born in Sumter County, she was reared in Dalzell, SC and united with the High Hills Baptist Church at an early age. She attended the public schools of Sumter County and graduated high school in 1945. She matriculated at Morris College where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1949 and a Masters Degree from South Carolina State University.

She was employed with Sumter School District Two as an educator at Manchester Elementary School, Morris College, and in the Zion Hill Day Care Center.

Mrs. Holland was an activist in church life. She was a distinguished member of High Hills Baptist Church where she served in a number of capacities. She was also affiliated with Zion Hill Baptist Church, Paxville, SC the Wateree Baptist Association and its Women's Department, the Black River Association and its Women's Department, and the Women's Baptist E&M Convention of South Carolina.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Julia Alice Wells, Cheverly, MD; caregiver, Mrs. Minnie Russell, and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 1pm at High Hills Baptist Church, 6750 Meeting House Rd, Dalzell, SC 29040 with Pastor Donald Amis, Officiating.

Interment will follow in High Hills Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the home, 8055 Camden Hwy, Rembert, SC 29128.
