Rebecca Anderson

Rebecca “Dosome” Anderson, 72, daughter of Wilhelmina Singleton Anderson and the late Hosie Anderson, was born on Dec. 9, 1953, in Sumter. She departed this life on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at her residence.

Ms. Anderson, affectionately known as Dosome, was celebrated for her vibrant personality and captivating charm. She had a remarkable gift for connecting with everyone she encountered.

In accordance with Ms. Anderson’s wishes, no public services will be held. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of NHC Healthcare Sumter, Your Health House Calls - Midlands, and Personal Care of Sumter for their loving care of Ms. Rebecca.
