Odell Milton Hammett, aged 90, passed away peacefully at his residence on November 6, 2024. Born on June 4, 1934, in Manning, SC, Odell was the beloved son of the late Nais Hammett and Mattie Nedd Hammett. He was the widower of Joann Hammett, with whom he shared many cherished years.

Funeral services to honor Odell's life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, located at 101 South Salem Avenue, Sumter, SC 29150. The viewing will commence at 10am, followed by the service at 11am. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park in Sumter, SC.

Family and friends are welcome to visit the family home at 2420 Lorentz Drive, Sumter, SC 29154, daily from 3-6pm to offer their condolences and share memories of Odell.
