Mitchell Heriot Jr., 32, was born March 22, 1988 in Sumter County, South Carolina. He was the beloved son of the late Yolanda Michelle Thomas, the late Jefferey Pearson and Mitchell Heriot Sr.
Mitchell graduated from the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind class of 2009, where he exceled in JROTC. At an early age Mitchell attended Antioch A.M.E Church Pinewood, SC. Mitchell was better known as Mitch to those who knew and loved him. He was known throughout his life to be a warm, friendly, loving, and caring person. Mitchell was very charismatic and had an infectious smile that would brighten up your day. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
Precious memories will continue to be cherished by his family: His maternal Grandmother Lou Bertha Young who reared him in the home from the age of six years old; four brothers Terrence Heriot and Jerel Heriot both of Sumter, South Carolina, Jefferey Dantzler Pearson of Greenville, SC and Jaffari Pearson of Camden, SC; Two sisters Raven Jeshana Pearson and Trinity Jeagan Pearson both of Columbia, SC; three nephews, Terrence Jamal Heriot Jr. whom he loved to baby sit, Amir Talib Canty Heriot, and K.C Heriot of Sumter South Carolina ; one niece Zoey Noelle Pearson, of Columbia S.C; Seven Aunts Tonya Thomas James and Wendy Thomas Felder who devotedly assisted in rearing him; Polly Brown, Laura Gillie , Sammie Pearson, Terry Brunson, and Sheila Pearson Smalls, all of Columbia, SC; four Uncles Derrick Thomas, Tony Thomas, and Shawn Thomas who he grew up in the home with, all of Sumter, SC and Corey Pearson of Charlotte, NC; five special cousins Cermoun James, Deshawn James, Darius James, Keana Michelle Felder, Shakirria Felder, Nolis Boyd IV, all of Sumter, SC, and several Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents Ms. Yolanda Michelle Thomas, Jeffrey Pearson, and grandparents Willie Arthur Pearson, Sr., and Gladys Robinson Pearson.
Public viewing will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M Friday at Job's Mortuary Annex. The Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M at the Mortuary.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M on Saturday at Hillside Memorial Park in Sumter, SC.
Job's Mortuary, Inc., 312 S. Main Street is in charge of arrangements.
