Minnie Pearl Hill Conyers, 75, was born on June 22, 1944 to the late Robert and Maggie Canty Hill, and reared by her loving stepmother, Rosa Lee Harvin Hill, after the passing of her mother. She entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at MUSC Hospital: Ashley River Towers in Charleston, SC.
Minnie attended the public schools of Sumter County. Later in her life, she met and married the love of her life, Ben Conyers; they were joined in holy matrimony in 1969, and were blessed with four beautiful children. She joined and worshipped at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are a husband, Ben Conyers of the home; four children: Gloria Jean Conyers, Trescott Conyers, Bryan (Susie) Conyers, and Quentin Conyers all of Sumter, SC; three grandchildren: Quincy Conyers, Xavier Conyers, and TaShanna Eaddy all of Sumter, SC; sisters and brothers: Edna Pringle of Orlando, FL, Henry Hill, George Hill, Ronnie Hill, Patricia (Albert) Kirkland, PhD. all of Sumter, SC, and Leroy (Beverly) Hill of Atlanta, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine Hill, Elsie Hill, DeYarn Hill, Miriam (Johnnie) Roman, Elque (Violet) Conyers, Ray (Louise) Conyers all of Sumter, SC; Ernestine Hill of Bronx, NY, Bessie (Fred) Allen of DeBary, FL, Alvaretta C. Bryson of Lexington, NC, Wilmur Z. Conyers of Durham, NC; and a host of loving and wonderful nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Minnie was preceded in death by seven brothers: Jimmy, Sammie, Robert, Jr., Lloyd, LeVerne, James, and Larry Hill; and three sisters-in-law: Annie C. Hill, Sara Hill, and Sandra Hill.
Public Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.
Mrs. Conyers will be placed in the church on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 10am for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church 805 South Harvin Street Sumter, SC 29150, with Pastor Marion H. Newton Eulogist and Pastor Ricky Simmons Presiding.
Interment will follow in Cain Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the home, 710 Deschamps Road Sumter, SC 29154.
Job's Mortuary, Inc., 312 S. Main Street is in charge of arrangements.
