Marquille Kenyata Miller was born on July 25, 1989, in Sumter, he was the eldest son of Janice Miller (Qawiyy) Nasheed and the late James Chappell Green III.
He was the maternal grandson of Eleanor Amos and Eugene Miller Sr. and paternal grandson of Rovenia Washington Green Harris, the late James Green Jr. and the late Jeff Harris.
He departed this life on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.
Marquille was reared in a Christian home by his aunt Co-Pastor Donna G. White and he received Christ at an early age.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories: his loving, sweet, kind and devoted wife, Franshon Marie Scott Miller; four children, Jordan Marquille Miller, Justice Lynwood Scott, Jeniya Annaliese Davis and Jalen Michael Owens, all of the home; his dear mother and father Janice Miller (Qawiyy) Nasheed of Pinewood; three brothers, U.S. Army Spc. David Cuspert Jr. of Seattle, Washington, U.S. Army Spc. Raekwon A. Cuspert of Savannah, Georgia, and Jayvon Chappell Sanders of Columbia; five sisters, U.S. Army Sgt. Tempist J. Miller (Tristan) Holden of Columbus, Georgia, Ladaisher and Ladonna Cuspert of Pinewood, Dasia Nasheed of Sumter, and Dymond Nasheed of Wilmington, Deleware; a special cousin, Tyquille Gooden of Pinewood; his beloved grandmother, Eleanor Amos; special aunts, Donna G. White, Mary E. Gooden, Ella Holland and Linda Anderson, all of Pinewood; one special uncle, Eugene Miller Jr.; in-laws, Lynwood and Susan Scott; four nieces; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
Marquille was preceded in death by his father, James Chappell Green III; one brother, Desmond Eugene Miller; his maternal great-grandparents, Lee and Elouise Felder Gooden; his paternal great-grandparents, Mrs. Everlina Weathers Miller Conyers and Mr. Henry Miller; a great uncle, Leroy (Pinewood) Goode; and one aunt, Susan Green.
Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday at Job's Mortuary.
Mr. Miller will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. on Tuesday for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at New Hope UME Church, 19022 Panola Road, Pinewood, with the Rev. Sylvester Myers officiating.
Interment will follow in New Hope UME Church Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the home of his mother, 9675 S.C. 261, Pinewood.
