Marion McGainey, 72, husband of Janie Ella Dennis McGainey and son of the late Furman McGainey and Willie Mae Clark McGainey, was born on November 16, 1953 in Sumter, SC. He departed this life on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Northeast, Columbia, SC.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 2-6pm at Job’s Mortuary, Inc.
Funeral Services will be held at 3pm, August 23, 2026 at Sumter Berea Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 675 S. Lafayette Drive, Sumter, SC 29150.
Interment will follow in Joshua Baptist Church Cemetery, Dalzell, SC 29040.
Job’s Mortuary, Inc., 312 S. Main Street is in charge of arrangements.
