Obituary
Marilyn Yvonne Womack Capehart was born on March 10, 1946 to the late Melba Grace Womack and Odell Lennon in Manhattan, New York. She departed this life on July 10, 2018 at her residence.
Ms. Capehart was educated in the public schools of Manhattan, NY. She relocated to Bronx, NY and furthered her education at Bronx Community College in the nursing program.
Ms. Capehart retired from Carolinas Hospital System in Florence, SC in 2016 after thirty plus years of service. She moved to Sumter to be close to her family.
Ms. Capehart loved the Lord, loved to study her Bible, she enjoyed meeting new people and loved talking to them about the goodness of God.
Ms. Capehart was a dedicated member of the Oakland Avenue, now Shekinah Glory SDA Church, in Florence, SC where she was a Sabbath School Superintendent, usher, treasurer, she sang on the choir and always assisted in various departments. She transferred her membership to Florence First Seventh Day Adventist Church until her untimely death. She loved attending Berea SDA Church with her family. She loved traveling, spending time with family, and tending to her plants.
Ms. Capehart's memories will forever be in the hearts of her three children; Todd Patrick (Marilyn) Womack of Fayetteville, NC, Melissia Robin (Lenwood) Dixon of Sumter; Monique Yvonne Allen of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Valeria Rodriguez of Fayetteville, NC; a special brother-in-law, Aladino Rodriguez of Fayetteville, NC; her grandchildren, Katelyn Dixon, Jarel McDowell, Lenard Dixon, Malec Mathis, Terique Foster, Maliyah Francis, Tyane Sparks, Tyree Womack ad Patrick Womack; a loving grand niece and nephew, Amari Boyd and Elijah Harding; a devoted niece, Ronda (Anthony) Boyd and nephew Alec (Petrina) Harding; five great grand children along with other relatives and friends.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 3-7pm at Job's Mortuary.
The body will be placed in the church on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 12:00pm for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Berea Seventh Day Adventist Church,675 South Lafayette Dr., Sumter, SC, with Pastor Michael Miller, Officiating.
Family will receive friends at the homeof her daughter at 219 S. Wise Dr., Sumter, SC 29150 from 5-9pm.
