Marcella Gail McCoy, 60, the oldest daughter of Maggie McCoy Skipper entered into eternal rest on October 20, 2018. Gail was born on August 16, 1958 in Sumter, SC.

Gail, whom she was passionate called, received her education in the public schools in Sumter County. Gail worked many years as a hostess. She has a remarkable aptitude for singing and drawing. She expressed to her daughter that she wanted some of her drawings placed in her casket. Gail was always the life of all the family functions. She along with her daughter Courtney was always told that they missed their professional calling in becoming comedians.

Gail was baptized at Church of Christ in Sumter, SC in her early adult life. Her faith in God has always been strong. She will definitely be missed for her encouraging words of wisdom.

Marcella Gail McCoy leaves to cherish her fond memories to her doting mother, Maggie Skipper; daughter, Courtney N. (Tony) McCoy Jacobs; son, Montell R. McCoy of Sumter, SC; step-daughter, Teresa Session of Charlotte, NC; loving fiancé, John Antony Williams of Sumter, SC; sisters: Carlean McCoy (Kingmon), Sandra McCoy, and Teresa (Reggie) Dozier of Sumter, SC; grandchildren: Tequan McCoy, Cody McCoy, Derrick Johnson, and Tony Jacobs; special niece, Shanai Scriven of Sumter, SC; aunts: Sarah Evans, Ella Rose Hayward, Edith McCoy, Marie Davis, and Geneva McCoy all of Sumter, SC, Mary Jane McCoy of Philadelphia, PA; special cousins: Jenise McCoy, Carolyn Hayward, Elaine Green, and Carolyn McCoy; special friends, Jessie Mae Frierson and Janie Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gail was preceded in death by her son, Xavier Levor McCoy; step-father, James T. Skipper; brothers, Robert E. McCoy and William McCoy; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Ms. McCoy will be placed in the church on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 12noon for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm West End Community Church 101 S. Salem Avenue Sumter, SC with Rev. Joann Murrill Officiating.

Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
