Obituary

Lucille Scarborough Muldrow was born in Bishopville, South Carolina to the late Tom Scarborough and Lillie Scarborough Williams on December 13, 1932. She departed this life on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Kershaw Medical Center.
Lucille was the second eldest of seven surviving children. She received her formal education in the Sumter Public School System. She graduated from Lincoln High School and in 1958, she married the late Fredrick D. Muldrow. To this union was born a son, Wayne D. Muldrow and a daughter, the late Sheila M. Muldrow.

Lucille was a licensed cosmetologist and worked at DC General in Washington DC as a nursing assistant. Later, she relocated to South Carolina and became a nursing assistant at Tuomey Hospital until she retired in 1995.

Lucille professed her faith in Christ during her early years. She united with Second Presbyterian Church after relocating to Sumter, SC. She was a deacon, sung on the senior choir, and a member of the Women's Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Wayne D. Muldrow; a daughter in law, Erika A. Muldrow; sisters; Ada Ford-Sumter. SC, Lula King-Philadelphia, PA, Rosa Lee Scarborough -Philadelphia, PA; brothers; Robert Addison (Linda) Addison -Orangeburg , SC, Augusta (Sarah) Williams- Sumter, SC, Thoney (Diretha) Williams – Sumter, SC and Murray Scarborough – Philadelphia, PA. Grandchildren Michael Brown, Alfredrick (Holly) Golden, Pleshette Bryant, Crystal(Corey)McDonald, Brittany (Charvis) Janer, Lawrence Sanders and Tara Muldrow. Great grands; Dace McDonald, Paris McDonald, Chi'a McDonald, Alaszia Carter, Micah Brown, London Richburg and Troy Golden. A special friend, Juanita Swinton. A special nephew, Tyrone Williams A special brother, Robert Addison and a special niece, Thomasina Middlebrook; a host of other relatives and friends.

Lucille was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelia M. Muldrow.

Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 2-7pm at Job's Mortuary.

Wake Service will be held on Thursday from 6-7pm.

Ms. Muldrow will be placed in the church on Friday, at 1pm for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 2pm at Second Presbyterian (USA) Church, Sumter with Rev. Dr. Franklin Colclough, Officiating and Rev. Dr. Larry C. Weston, Eulogist.

Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

Family will be receiving friends at the home from 11am-8pm at 55 Albert Spears Drive, Sumter.
