Obituary

Louise Fleming Mack was born June 4, 1920 in Shiloh Township, Sumter County, South Carolina, to the late Henry Frank Fleming and Fannie Benn Fleming. She departed this life on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the age of 98 years old.

Louise grew up in Sumter County and spent her early childhood in "Shiloh", which she often talked about with joy.  She attended Sumter County schools and later was sent to Brockington High School in Timmonsville, SC where she graduated. After graduating from Brockington High School where she was a brilliant student, she applied to Morris College and was accepted.  However, she opted to work at a chair factory in Sumter instead.

As a child, she grew up in St John United Methodist Church and later joined [Little] St. John Baptist church and other Baptist churches.  Getting saved at an early age, she was an ardent church worker.

She leaves to mourn her loss: her grandchildren:  Keisha Spann, Xavier Taylor, Albert Taylor, Valerie Taylor, Natasha Taylor, and Anthony Spann; a son-in-law, Daniel Taylor; three sisters: Sarah Fleming Geathers, Lillie B. Fleming Robinson and Rev. Vertell (Tommie) Fleming Shaw; one sister-in-law, Eloise Fleming; a special niece, Rev. Jacqueline Fleming (Rev. Thomas) Myers; a special long-time caretaker: Carrie Duffie; a number of great-grandchildren; the Mack Family; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Louise was preceded in death by her first husband, Junior Spann and second husband, Henry Mack; three children: Mason Spann, Natasha Berlie Spann Taylor, and Connell Spann; a grandson, Anthony Spann; five brothers: Joseph Fleming, Booker T. Fleming, John Henry Fleming, Murray Fleming, Sammie "Pop" Fleming; five sisters:  Addie Fleming Johnson, Albertha Fleming, Jannie Fleming Robinson, Olivia Fleming Prince, and Elreata Fleming; and a special niece, Fannie Cynthia Fleming.

Louise we all miss you very, very much, but we feel a special joy that you are now resting with the Savior.
