Obituary

Linda Elaine Boatwright Ligon, known to many as "Sissy," was born on January 11, 1954 in Marion, SC to Jimmie Conyers Boatwright and the late Dean Floyd Boatwright.

She attended the public school system in Long Beach, New York.

Sissy was reared in a Christian home by her grandmother, Mrs. Ruby Peoples Conyers, where she attended church and served in several Ministries. Her love for singing was shared in the Youth choir as well as the Adult choir.

"Sissy" was well rounded in all areas. Her passions for cooking, song and dance were her favorite, not to mention being a shopaholic. Her career in Health care was a gift; she was truly passionate about what she did.

When she retired and relocated back to South Carolina, she became a member of Friendship A.M.E. Church and continued serving in similar Ministries and capacities.

Family was everything to "Sissy." Her loyalty and commitment to her Mother, Children, and Siblings were truly awesome.  All those who came in contact with her was truly touched by her smile and laughter; this will be a memory we will all cherish.

On Friday, May 25, 2018, "Sissy," the one who loved unconditionally, entered into eternal rest. "I had to pack up and get ready, so weep for me no more for I am with my Father."
