Linda Regina Galloway White, 76, wife of
Jordan D. White, died on July 7, 2025 at
her home in Sumter, SC.
Born July 16, 1948 in Riegelwood, NC, she
was the daughter of the late Mr. James F.
Galloway and Mrs. Mary L. Blanks
Galloway. She earned her bachelor's and
master's degrees from the University of
South Carolina and spent most of her
career as an administrator in the SC
technical college system.

Mrs. White is survived by her loving
husband, Jordan D. White, Esq. three
children; Colette Daniels of Sumter,
Terence O. (Joanna) Daniels of
Landenberg, PA, and Andrew D. (Filipa)
White of Elgin, SC; four grandchildren; Amy
(Jose) Rivera-Hicks of Newark, DE,
Cameron (Ameen) Tanksley of
Philadelphia, Caius and Noor Andrade

White of Elgin, SC; one great grandchild,
Aria Rivera-Hicks, and three siblings;
Sandra Lewis of Leland, NC, Nelton (Opal)
Galloway of Clarksville, TN, and Vivian
(Cleveland) Terry of Myrtle Beach, SC.
Additionally, she is survived by a host of
nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by one sister, Evette Moore of
Baltimore, MD.

Mrs. White was a faithful member of
Shepherd United Methodist Church. She
was active in several ministries of the
church where she held leadership roles.
She was known for her tireless works and
her lilting southern accent. Linda had a
vibrant and assertive personality that left a
lasting impression on everyone she met,
and she will be remembered fondly as a
devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister,
and friend.

The family will receive visitors at the home,
105 Horseshoe Cove, beginning Thursday,
July 10, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. A Celebration
of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12,
2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Shepherd United
Methodist Church, 2210 North Main Street,
Sumter, SC 29150. There will be no public
viewing. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to Job's Mortuary, Inc., 312 S.
Main Street, Sumter, SC 29150
