Leroy (Roy) James, son of the late Semon and Lucinda J. James was born on January 26, 1940 in Clarendon County. He departed this life on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Prisma Health Richland after a brief illness.

He was a lifelong member of Antioch Union Methodist Episcopal Church, Rimini where he served faithfully on the Usher and Trustee Ministries.

Surviving are his sister, Louvenia J. (Leroy) Dinkins, Sumter, SC, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Public Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 12noon at Antioch U.M.E. Church 10026 Old River Road, Rimini, SC 29125 with Pastor Lawrence Myers, Eulogist, and Right Reverend Willie Green Jr., Presiding.

Interment will follow in Antioch Memorial Gardens.

Family will be receiving friends at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, 1060 East Calhoun Street, Sumter, SC 29150 from 4-7pm.

Job's Mortuary, Inc., 312 South Main Street, Sumter is in charge of arrangements.
