Mother Davis was employed by Campbell Soup Company as a food processor until her retirement in the Summer of 1991. Mother Davis was a great woman of faith: loving the Lord and His Holy word. At an early age, she received the Lord as her personal Savior. She was a lifetime member of the Church of God by Faith, Inc, where she served on the Usher Board, Choir, as a Sunday School teacher and a Mother of the Church. Mother Davis also served beside her husband as First Lady at the Church of God by Faith in Florence, SC and Church of God by Faith in Orangeburg, SC.

Mother Davis was united in holy matrimony to David Davis on December 9, 1951. To this union, seven children were born.

She leaves to cherish her beloved memory; seven children: Buster Davis, Betsy Davis Brown, David Davis, Barbara Davis Martin, Dorothy Davis McCall, Charles Davis and Rowena Davis; eight grandchildren: Teresa Marshall, Kevin Brown, Carleston Brown II, Sharon McCall, Christopher McCall, Serita Burroughs, Jarrod Davis, and Chad Davis; four great-grandchildren: Ty Marshall, Evan Marshall, Kai Brown, and Noah Brown; two sisters, Annette McBride and Mary Sapp; three brothers: Willie Guy, Jr., Harold Brown, and Jonathan Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mother Davis was preceded in death by her youngest sister, Dolly Brown Bell; one brother, Areal Guy.
