Joseph Lee Hart was born on September 23, 1944 in Lee County, SC to the late Sanders and Drucilla Hart. Joe transitioned to eternal rest on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Beaufort Bayview Manor in Beaufort, SC.

He was educated in the Public School System of Lee County. Joe was last employed at Gold Kist in Sumter, SC.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memories a wife, Gloria McDowell Hart; a son, Terrance (Breanna) Hart of Sumter, SC; three stepsons: Derrick (Wanda) McDowell of Paterson, NJ, James Tyrone (Teresa) McDowell and Reginald (Tracy) McDowell of Sumter, SC; one son-in-law, Wallace Wilson of Sumter, SC; a brother, David Hart of Sumter, SC; two sisters, Henrietta Whitaker of Summerton, SC and Carla (Mac) Mention of Hemingway, SC; one sister-in-law, Harriett Hart of New Hampshire; two mothers-in-law, Vela Burgess of Lynchburg, SC and Doris Burrough of Lake City, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by a daughter, Tisha Latoya Hart Wilson; three brothers: Jimmy, George, and Moses Hart; two sisters, Almeta Brunson and Lottie Temoney; and a niece, Willie Hart.

Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mr. Hart will be placed in the church on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 12noon for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center 101 S. Salem Avenue Sumter, SC 29150, with Rev. Bill Bennett Officiating.

Family will receive friends at the home, 6 Hoyt Street Sumter, SC 29150.
