Johnny Ray Lowery, son of Mary Rouse Lowery and the late Nelson Lowery was born January 13, 1960 in Lee County. He was the 5th child of his siblings.

Lowery was a member of St. Peter AME Church, Mayesville, SC. He was employed with Gold Kist for several years.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his former wife Kimberly Nicole Lowery; two daughters, Shahonda Lowery and Tiahandra Lowery; his mother, Mary R. Lowery; four brothers, Thomas Lowery, Roy (Jacqueline) Lowery, Robert (Debra) Lowery, and Nelson Lowery; two sisters, Inell (Willie) Solomon and Lethia Greene; two aunts, Rebecca (Harry) Evans and Hattie Rouse; special nieces, Inetta Lowery and Jessica Lowery; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by father and one brother, Willie Lowery. Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 4-6pm at Job's Mortuary. Mr. Lowery will be placed in the church on Friday at 11am for viewing until the hour of service

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 12noon at St. Peter AME Church, Mayesville, SC with Pastor Rev. Emanuel Davis, Officiating

Interment will follow in St. Peter AME Church Cemetery.

Family will be receiving friends at the home 4645 McKnight Road, Lynchburg, SC.
