John Rowland Chestnut, Sr., 76, husband of Udetta Ford Chestnut and son of the late Rev. James William Chestnut and Lucille Manning Chestnut, was born on March 8, 1948 in Sumter, SC.  He departed this life on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 3-7pm at Job's Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am, Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 South Salem Avenue, Sumter, SC 29150 with Pastor Julius McDowell, Officiating.

Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park, Sumter, SC 29154
