Joann Brockington Burgess was born on November 19, 1956 in Clarendon County, SC to Willene House Brockington. She was reared by Bobby Joe Brockington and the late Marie House-Brockington.

Public Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mrs. Burgess will be placed in the church on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 10am for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Taw Caw Missionary Baptist Church 1130 Granby Lane Summerton, SC 29148, with Rev. Dr. W.T. Johnson, Pastor, Officiating and Min. Lee E. Burgess, Jr., Eulogist.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends at the home, 1121 Pulpit Street Sumter, SC 29150.
