Obituary

Mrs. Jennie Lee Cooper, better known as "Cooch," was the daughter of the late Holland and Janie Cook. She was born on June 5, 1941 in Sumter County. She departed this life on Friday, February 23, 2018, after a period of illness.

Jennie, "Cooch," was a jolly person and never met a stranger. Jennie leaves to cherish her precious memories two loving daughters, Reverend Dr. Edna (Haywood) Wilson and Willie Mae Cooper both of Mayesville, SC; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Paralee Anderson; two brothers, Dave (Brenda) Cook of Mayesville, SC and Louis Cook of Richmond, VA; a host of other relatives and friends.

Jennie was preceded in death by one son, Carl "CC" Cooper; two sisters, Pauline Cook and Mary Brown; two brothers, Wallace and Pete Cook.

Public Viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 3-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mrs. Cooper will be placed in the church on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 10am for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11am at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, 350 East Red Bay Rd, Sumter, SC 29150, with Pastor Daryl F. McGhaney officiating and Pastor Emeritus Daniel McGhaney, Jr., Eulogist.

Interment will follow in Mayesville Community Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at her home, 125 McGhaney Rd, Mayesville, SC
