James Alford Wright, the eldest child of Luke Gayle, Sr. and Elizabeth Gayle, was born on February 22, 1962 in Wedgefield, South Carolina. He departed this life on October 29, 2019.

In addition to his parents, he leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory two sons, Darian Bells of Greenville, SC and Shawn Lewis of Wedgefield, SC; three grandchildren; three sisters: Barbara Johnson of Wedgefield, SC, Shelia Gayle (Trial-Elder Kenneth) Howard of Blythewood, SC, and Shirley Taylor of Sumter, SC; one brother, Luke (Bennie) Gayle, Jr. of Wedgefield; eight nephews and nieces; four uncles; nine aunts and a host of other relatives and friends.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mr. Wright will be placed in the church on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10am for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center 101 South Salem Avenue Sumter, SC 29150, with Rev. Larry Clark Officiating.

Interment will follow in Bethel AME Church Cemetery (Wedgefield).

Family will receive friends at the home of his parents, 66 Sally Street Wedgefield, SC 29168.
