James Ricks, 86, widower of Dorothy Simmons Ricks and son of the late Jerry Ricks and Delia Moore Ricks, was born on April 13, 1936 in Sumter, SC.  He departed this life on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Sumter East Health and Rehabilitation Center.
