Obituary

James Antonio "Tony" Gooden was born March 2, 1983 to Mary Gooden (Lee) Brown and James Washington. He departed this life on October 5, 2019.

He leaves to cherish loving memories, his parents Mary (Lee) Brown and James Washington; step-father, Lennie Johnson; his siblings, Tanita Gooden of Charlotte, NC, Jermaine Gooden of Pinewood, SC, Latasha Gooden of Spartanburg, SC, Martina Farmer, Jasmine Washington, Patrick and Jermaine Farmer, and Jason Pugh; grandmother, Eleanor Amos; two special nephews, Tyquell "Duke" Gooden and Trey-Shawn Moore; special aunts, Janice Rasheed, Donna White, and Ella Holland; eight uncles, Eugene Miller Jr., Clarence, Willie, Herbert, Nathan, Frankie, Ervin and Bernard Washington; special friend, Melissa Green; special cousin, Karvelas Gooden, Deandrea Singleton; best friends, Courtney (Jr) Bell, and Glenn Canty; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a special cousin Marquille Miller, special friend Terry "Bone" Johnson; great grandparents Lee and Elouise Gooden.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mr. Gooden will be place in the church on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 1pm for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at New Hope UME Church 19022 Panola Road Pinewood, SC 29125, with Rev. Dorothy Boyd Officiating, and Rev. Jermaine Walker, Eulogist.

Interment will follow in New Hope Community Cemetery.

Job's Mortuary, Inc, 312 S. Main Street, Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.
