Ja'Quell Marquelles Dinkins, the oldest of seven siblings born to Yolanda Benjamin and Herbert Dinkins Jr, was born August 23, 1999 in Sumter, SC. He transitioned this earthly this earthly life on Wednesday, September 14, 2016.
He was a Junior at Lakewood High School and employed at Baker Sweets of Sumter.
Quell as he was affectionately called, A very respectable young man who loved life to the fullest. He enjoyed basketball, rapping, spending time with his sisters, brothers, and helping his grandmother. Quell was full of life and the life of any gathering.
He leaves to cherish and honor his memories; his grandmother, Susanna Benjamin; his loving mother, Yolanda Benjamin; father, Herbert (Jessica) Dinkins; two brothers, Herbert Dinkins III, and Kani Jennings; five sisters, Amiya Dinkins, Kamora Benjamin, Jassiah Gibson, Shania Dinkins, Glory Dinkins, and Nyriel Dinkins; loving grandparents, Herbert (Gloria) Dinkins; six aunts, Fricia Benjamin, Altraniese (Jermaine) Williams, Hope (Marcus) Johnson, Selena Sinkler and Kiccy Dinkins; two uncles, Fredrick (Latonya) Benjamin and Tony (Courtney) Jacobs all of Sumter, SC; five great uncles, five great aunts, one godmother, Loretta Black of Sumter, SC; a great grandmother Helen Summers; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his uncle Travis Dinkins; grandfather, Freddie Benjamin.
Public Viewing will he held on Monday September 19, 2016 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.
Mr. Dinkins will be placed in the church on Tues. at 2pm for viewing until the hour service.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday September 20, 2016 at 3PM at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center 101 South Salem Avenue, Sumter
Interment will follow in Cain Cemetery.
Family will be receiving friends at the home 80 Jacob Circle, Sumter
