Irene Conyers Green, 55 of Wedgefield, SC departed this life on November 13, 2017. She was born on September 17, 1962 to Sarah Elizabeth Conyers Charles and Damon (Buck) Williams.
After being born in Sumter, SC, Irene and her mother moved to Harlem, New York City where she attended Jane Addams High School. Having held Several positions in various industries, Irene settled in to the food industry, that's where she perfected the art of fried chicken. Irene then moved back to South Carolina in the early 1980's and continued cooking. She loved to cook, bake, watch scary movies, music, and fishing. Irene enjoyed the holidays especially Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Irene leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughter Juanita; granddaughter, Nova; her mother, Sarah Conyers Charles' father, Damon (Buck) Williams; step father, Richard N. Charles; brother, Eugene; sisters, Victoria and Makeba; many half sibling; aunts, uncles, and cousins and other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday November 18, 2017 at 11am at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center 101 S. Salem Ave with Elder Frank Garret, Officiating
