Henrietta Bowman was born on April 3, 1925 in St. Charles SC to the late Dave and Harriet Lillie McLeod, Sr. Henrietta entered into eternal rest on Sunday April 28, 2019 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Henrietta was educated in the public schools of Lee County SC and was a faithful member of Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church for many years until she became ill.

Henrietta was a resident of James Village for 45 years, where she enjoyed spending time with her neighbors, Janet Haynesworth and Jeanette Greene before moving into National Healthcare after becoming ill.

Henrietta leaves to mourn her loss: her daughter, Thomasina B. Holloway of Sumter SC; sons: Willie Lee (Barbra) Bowman of Bishopville, SC, Robert (Thelma) Clark, Jr. of Newark, NJ, Andrew (Terri) Bowman of Jersey City, NJ, Eddie (Susan) Benjamin of Turbeville, SC, and Jimmy (Loretta) Wilson of Sumter, SC; one brother, Freddie McLeod of Sumter, SC; one sister, Blanche Cooper of Sumter, SC, thirty-three grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grand children and other dear relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Henrietta was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Bowman; seven children: Carolyn Bowman, Jimmy Bowman, Nathaniel Bowman, Rosa Peters, Verniece Elliot, Thomas Clark and Tracey Bradshaw; a sister, Annie Mae McLeod; five brothers: Alio McLeod, Russell Johnson, Dave McLeod, Jr., Eugene McLeod, and Ervin McLeod.

Public Viewing will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mrs. Bowman will be placed in the church on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 2pm for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 3pm on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church 805 South Harvin Street Sumter, SC 29150, with Pastor Marion H. Newton, Senior Pastor, Presiding, and Pastor Ervin McLeod, Eulogist.

Family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, 251 Rast Street Apt E8 Sumter, SC 29150.
