Obituary

Fred "Freddie" Jones was born on January 15, 1946 to the late Lee Jones and Lucille McFadden Jones. He departed this earthly life on October 30, 2017 when God said yes.
Freddie as he was affectionly known, love music and playing his bass guitar. His joy was helping different groups . Fred major groups were the Gospel Jubilees and the Sumter Violinaries. He played for anyone he could help.
He was married to Jerrildine Jefferson Jones. Freddie was retired, during his work career he was employed with Southern Coating , George Pacific, Kaydon and Carolina Furniture.
He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1963. He furthered his education at Central Carolina Technical College.
Left to cherish his memories are; his wife of eleven years; his sons, Derrick (Carolyn) Jones of Delaware, Andre (Belgin) Jones of Washington State, Tracy (Julia) Jones of Charleston, SC, Kelly (Cornelia) Jones of California, Tamadi (Oni) Jones of Texas; one sister, Geneva Covington of Sumter, SC; father-in-law, Eddie C. Harvin of Mayesville, SC, Walter McClary of New York; seven sisters-in-law, Shirley (Herbert) Myers, Bettie Harvin, Valorie Harvin, Elsie (Brand) Wells of Mayesville, SC, Darlene Brown of Sumter, SC, and Alice Walker; twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two step children; a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, two brothers and his parents.

Public Viewing will be held on Sunday November 5, 2017 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.
Mr. Jones will be placed in the church on Mon. at `10am for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday. November 6 at 11AM at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center (Westend Community Church) 101. S. Salem Ave, Sumter with Rev. Roosevelt McFadden, Officiating
Interment will follow in Mt. Sinai Presbyterian Church Cemetery, St. Charles, SC
Family will be receiving friends at the home 2150 Avenue C, Mayesville, SC
