Everette Ted Rembert, Ted as he was called by others, husband of Patsy Wells Rembert and son of Hampton and Mable Rembert, was born on Jan. 6, 1957. He departed this life on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at his residence.
He was reared in a Christian home and received Christ at an early age.
He was educated in the public schools of Lee County and was a 1975 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. He was an employee of Santee Print, Pilgrim Pride and EATON.
Ted loved sports, especially football and baseball. He loved his duties in his church where Ted served as a trustee and on the usher board. He was a loving husband and father. He will be missed by his loving wife, girls and grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories his wife, Patsy Rembert; five step-daughters, Yvonne Mitchell, Wanda Grinnel Davis, Christine Oriko, Kimberly McCray and Cheri Anderson; mother and father, Hampton and Mable Rembert; one brother, Bernard Rembert; one sister, Margaret Rembert; special friends, Johnny (Joanne) Gore; two nephews whom he reared, Kenneth Rembert and Travis Rembert; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.
Mr. Rembert will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. on Monday for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Unionville AME Church, Mayesville, with pastor, the Rev. Alvin Webb officiating
Interment will follow in Unionville AME Church Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the home, 526 Dingle St., Sumter.
