Ethel James Bracey was born September 9, 1937 in Clarendon County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel Robinson James. On Monday she quietly and softly accepted the call of Go.
Ethel was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Ethel maintained a gentle firm disposition and was always willing to help anyone whenever possible.
She was employed by Williams Furniture Company (VB Williams) until she retired.
She was united in Holy matrimony to the late Earl Bracey, Sr. which was a union of memories and they were blessed with two children.
Ethel leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory her caring, loving and devoted daughter and granddaughter Deanna Bracey Deas and Keiona Deas both of Sumter, SC.,. Her daughter-in-law Tammy Weston Bracey of Sumter, SC., two grandsons Carlos and Steven Bracey of Sumter, SC., two great-grand sons Collin E. Bracey of Petersburg, VA, and ZyheirK. James of Sumter, SC. Additional granddaughter Courtney Vaughn of Sumter, SC., two sisters Molly James Ross and Mary James Gibson both of Sumter, SC., one aunt Virginia Robinson of Sumter, SC., one sister-in-law Bessie James of Clairton, PA and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, and husband she was proceeded in death by her son Earl, Jr., three brothers Isaiah, Pickney & Joseph James and one sister Bessie James Williams.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.
Ms. Bracey will be placed in the church on Sat. July 22 at 1pm until the hour of service.
Funeral Services will be held on Sat. July 22 at 2pm at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Pinewood, SC with Pastor Rev. E. L. Sanders, Officiating.
Interment will follow in Calvary-Zion Churchyard Cemetery.
Family will be receiving friends at the home 1034 Collins Street, Sumter
