Ernest Grant Williams, 58, husband of Eartha Lee Williams and son of the late John and Rebecca G. Williams, was born on February 27, 1960 in Sumter, SC.  He departed this life on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC.

He attended the local public schools. He was employed by Gold Kist and later by Carolina Furniture Works.

Ernest leaves to cherish his fond memories: his wife, Eartha Lee Williams; sisters: Shirley Mae Williams, Mattie Rembert, Janie Jones, Vickie W. James, Shana W. Woods; brothers: Albert Williams, James Williams, Edward Williams and John Green; brother-in-law, Sammie Dinkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother.

Public Viewing will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mr. Williams will be placed in the church on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 1pm for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center 101 S. Salem Avenue Sumter, SC, with Pastor Ricky Simmons Officiating.

Interment will follow in Walker Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at 1009 White Horse Street Sumter, SC.
