Eric Terrell Gamble, 47, died on Sunday, September 26, 2021, in Columbia, SC. Born in Sumter, SC on August 18, 1974, he was the son of the late Eugene Gamble and Wyline Monroe Gamble.

Eric was a graduate of Mayewood High School and attended Morris College. He worked in Charlotte, NC, Sumter, SC and several other cities during his search for fulfilment. Eric attended Hickory Grove Baptist Church, where he was an active member during his youth. He enjoyed conversation, laughing and telling jokes. He loved cooking and was a self-proclaimed foodie.

Those continuing to share his memories are his daughter, Erionna Gamble of Sumter, SC; five sons, Malcom McDowell, Columbia, SC, Eric Gamble, Jr., Eugene Gamble, Eziah Green and Emontay Gamble, all of Sumter, SC; a brother, Wilbert E. (Sharon Spann) Gamble, Charlotte, NC, two sisters, Alfreda Porter- (Mark) Ousley, Sumter, SC, Angela (Ronnie) Baxter, Valdosta, GA; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 South Salem Avenue, Sumter, SC 29150, on Saturday, October 2, 2021. In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed.
