Elijah "James" Sigler was born to the late Fred Sigler Sr. and Irbell Jones Sigler on May 27, 1943 in Sumter, South Carolina.
Due to a medical condition he suffered at a very young age, he was unable to be employed or live independently. He departed this life at the home of Rev. Lemuel and Katie Washington, where he resided; on Thursday, July 18, 2019.
He leaves to cherish his memories two brothers, Willie (Mary) Sigler of West Palm Beach, Florida and Clarence Sigler of Wedgefield, South Carolina; two sisters, Dora Bell Gregg of St. Port Lucie, Florida and Katie (Rev. Lemuel) Sigler Washington of Wedgefield, South Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Preston Rollins and Shirley Sigler (Timothy) Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Fred Sigler Jr., Roosevelt Sigler Sr. and Tommy Sigler; two sisters, Willie Mae Murray and Dorothy Mae Sigler.
Public Viewing will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Job's Mortuary from 2-6pm.
Mr. Sigler will be placed in the church on Tues. at 11am for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral Services will be held on Tues. July 23 at 12noon at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center 101. S. Salem Ave, Sumter with Pastor Rev. Lemuel Washington, Officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

Job's Mortuary, Inc., 312 S. Main Street is in charge of arrangements.
