Mrs. Edna (Mae) Swinton, 80, daughter of the late Mr. James and Mrs. Annie Bell Logan Wright. She was born November 15, 1937 in Sumter, SC. She departed this life on Monday, May 21, 2018.

Mrs. Edna Mae Swinton received her education in the public schools of Sumter County. In her youth, she attended New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories three daughters: JoAnn Logan, Christine (David) Blackwell both of Sumter, SC and Linda ( Kevin) McDuffie of Charlotte, NC; six sons: Johnny Wright, David Logan, Larry Logan, William Brown, Charles Brown all of Sumter, SC and Anthony Brown of Antonio, TX; one brother, Herbert (Bertha Mae) Wright of Sumter, SC; one aunt, Emma Wright of Sumter, SC; four brothers-in-law: Benjamin (Dollie) Swinton, Roosevelt (Naomi) Swinton both of Sumter, SC, Harry (Daisy) Swinton of Huntersville, AL and Robert Lee (Genevie) Swinton of Portsmouth, VA; thirty grandchildren; seventy-five great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Pamela Brown and Deloris Logan; four brothers: Bernie Wright, Jacob Wright, David Wright, and James Wright, Jr.; two sisters, Dorothy James and Mildred Wright; one grandson, Antonio Brown; and one great-grandson, Anthony Logan, Jr.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 1-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mrs. Swinton will be placed in the church on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:30pm for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:30pm on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Avenue Sumter, SC 29150, with Pastor Jeffery Johnson Officiating.

Interment will follow in Bradford Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at her home, 14 Hudson Street Sumter, SC.
